| Tony was born in Welwyn Garden City, where his parents, originally from Estonia, had settled in 1947.
On leaving school, Tony joined the British Army and served 9 years before leaving to re-join civvie street as a chauffeur.
He moved to Luton in 1987, and after meeting his wife Helen, finally settled in Caddington in 2001 with their two children Kristian and Hollie – both of whom attend Willowfield Lower School.
He joined the Parish Council in 2005, wanting to make a difference in the community. He now spends many hours of his working day on Parish business. Described by his peers as an ardent innovator and entrepreneur, Tony has enjoyed driving wholesale change in the way the Council operates since he was voted in as Chair in May 2006 & re-elected in May 2007.
"We are now more customer facing" he says… "we're working hard to communicate better with our residents, both ways – that means listening and responding too…"

 | Christine Allsop |
Vice Chair of the Parish Council 2 Sutton Gardens Caddington LU1 4EA Tel: 01582 727056 Email: allsopcf@aol.com
|
| Christine joined the parish council in May 2006 & was elected as Vice Chair in May 2007.
Christine has lived in the Parish for 41 years. She has been married to Stuart for 34 years and has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. She has kept herself involved with village life over the years by sitting on various local association committees and helping with local organisations. She has been a voluntary worker for the WRVS where for many years she delivered Meals on Wheels in Caddington and the surrounding villages until the service ceased three years ago. Whilst recognising the need in our parish for change and improvements from time to time, Christine aims to ensure that these are carried out in a way that will retain the rural nature of our village, and thus avoid becoming too urbanised. She also wants to help make this new parish council more approachable and people-friendly council and will drive forward any ideas to achieve this aim. She enjoys walking her dogs, gardening and writing. |

In his first year, Paul established the Caddington Young People's Forum (YPF) to give the young people a voice, and to help overcome some of the barriers to their full citizenship and involvement in village life. He has also taken responsibility for editing the Parish Newsletter and assisted with negotiations for our own PCSO.
In the coming year he hopes to develop the YP Forum further, build relations with the Police and Social Club and develop the newsletter to become 'an eagerly anticipated must-read' publication !"
