Age Concern Bedfordshire (ACB) is a local charity based in Bedford and operating throughout the whole of Bedfordshire for the benefit of all older people in the County. We are a member of the Age Concern Federation. Dunstable and District Walking and Hostelling Group Do you like, walking, trekking, backpacking, hiking or rambling if so, this is what the Bogtrotters do. Our programme consists of local Day Walks, Half Day Walks, Midweek meanders, Hostelling Weekends and Easter, New Year and Summer tours as well as a varied social programme.
Our members are drawn from the area of Dunstable, Luton, Leighton Buzzard and the surrounding villages and counties of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
The Bedford Talking Newspaper (BDAN)
BDAN is a registered charity, offering a free service. We record articles from local newspapers to audio tape for blind and partially sighted people, along with those who cannot hold a newspaper. We have listeners across Bedfordshire, but in fact there is no geographical boundary to our service within the UK.
Counselling Directory The purpose of the site is ultimately to provide the UK with a huge counselling support network, enabling those in distress to find a counsellor close to them and appropriate for their needs. This is a free, confidential service that will hopefully encourage those in distress to seek help.
